Hamnet 2025
2h 5m Drama Rated 4.0 out of 5
O maior problema do filme provavelmente é a necessidade de condensar muios anos e ao mesmo tempo criar uma ligação emocional. Assim, o filme é uma série de histórias sequenciais, relativamente autocontidas.
I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time 2025
I thought the manga was pretty good, so I figured I'd try the anime. And yeah, that was fun to watch. A bit more serious than I expected given the premise, but still pretty funny.
Sanshiro Sugata 1943
1h 37m Drama
I confess: I was a bit sleepy while watching this, but I don't really understand what was going on. Or more accurately, I understood *what* was happening, but not *why*. It felt to me the characters had no motivation for their actions, and just did whatever on a whim.
Super Mario World 1991
The writers of this show saw that the game takes place in "Dinosaur Land", and concluded "cave people", complete with unga-bunga noises. Pure early-90s goofiness. Had fun watching.
This is one of those shows I was aware of as a child, yet couldn't watch back then since we didn't have cable TV. But while spinning the dial on the TV one day, I noticed a channel that normally had no reception was curiously receiving audio, which just happened to come from an episode of this very show. My memory tells me it was the episode "Born to Ride", wherein Yoshi joins a dino biker gang. The picture was just colourful static, but I contented myself to listen to the episode while I could.
1h 48m Fantasy
Though this live-action version doesn't quite have the same charm as the animated original, it's still very good and I enjoyed watching it. And somehow I've only just learned that both films are based on an earlier book by the same name, which I guess I have to read now. Seriously, how've I not heard of this before?
Space Sheriff Gavan 1982
Sci-Fi & Fantasy
1h 43m Animation
I've always heard nothing but praise for this film, but somehow never got around to watching it myself. Well I finally have, and yeah, that was fun and relaxing. I'll have to check out the live-action adaptation next.
Demon City Shinjuku 1988
1h 20m Action
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984
1h 31m Horror Rated 3.5 out of 5
The best part of this is the uncertainty if this moment is real or a dream. I love the psychological drama of that aspect.
Freddie is goofy. Boozy mom is not great at acting. Too many jump scares.
