Queen of Blood 1966
1h 21m Science Fiction Rated 3.0 out of 5
You know, not that bad for something knocked out in like 6 days on zero budget. Quite atmospheric, with the requisite Monsterdon abrupt ending.

Resident Evil 2026
1h 35m Horror Rated 1.5 out of 5
It's "Resident Evil" by setting only, everything else is not. No, there's nothing wrong with a new character, think of it as a different vantage point. My issue with this adaptation and reboot is it turned a great worldbuilding into a comedy. The most I can give it is 1.5 out of 5 (3 out of 10). Maybe a few years from now my opinion of it will change, but not today.

Another deconstruction of the slasher genre. The concept is pretty good, but the movie likes slashers and I don't.

Fun enough throwback to the teen dance movies from the late 90's/early 2000's, but modernized and Desi.
I'd 2.75 this if I could.

Fry does a great job as the protagonist. Fun horror comedy 👍
Pity that it's a franchise, it would have worked better if we didn't know how it has to end.

The Sword and the Sorcerer 1982
1h 40m Action Rated 2.0 out of 5
This feels like an attempt to cash in on the popularity of sword and sorcery by doing a very bog standard and old fashioned swashbuckler with the bare minimum of nods to the genre tacked on.
There is blood on the swords. There is (a disappointingly small amount of) black magic that adds nothing to the plot. There are boobs. But mostly there are endless, tedious sword fights with jarringly jaunty music. Not good.
The credits claim a sequel is imminent lol. It was not.
